Travis Rice Takes Flight to Another World
The art of flight is a snowboarding movie that was expanded into a tv series because of its immense popularity and crazy footage. Travis Rice, known as possibly the best back country snowboarder of all time, headed this project with the goal to snowboard in places around the world that have the best conditions, with the craziest lines, and that most people have never been, let alone snowboarded. They went to several different countries including Canada (Nelson, Revelstoke), Chile (Patagonia), Romania, Alaska, Jackson, Wyoming, and Aspen, Colorado. Funded by Red Bull Travis and group of about 20 other friends/ professional snowboarders conquer all these spots around the world. The uniqueness of the movie that takes it over the top of most snowboarding movies is the places that they go and the shots that they take of nature combined with the snowboarding aspect. Also when this made its debut all around the world it was shown in 3D, first snowboarding movie to do so. Here check out the trailer. This is an intense video for snowboarding. it really shows the extremes people will take the sport and the adrenaline rush it gives people. i have never seen a movie or series that shows this view of snowboarding.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome video! Some of the places that they snowboard are really intense and it is great to see people with pure passion for what they do. This series will give you a different view on snowboarding and snowboarders for sure!

ReplyDeletereally cool video but definitely insane to see how crazy some athletes are when it comes to their sport. Can't really imagine anyone ever doing stunts like the ones in the clip, especially with the conditions, but I love watching videos like that and would like to see the movie sometime.
